We continued raising awareness of our mission in Fairfield when we attended the first FHS football game of the season in August 2019. Once again, we were welcomed home with open arms to talk about RDFF at halftime and raise money throughout the game. We are truly so thankful for the support from the Fairfield community and being given the opportunity to come back to where Alex attended school and played soccer.
In August 2019, we were invited back to Alex’s alma mater, Fairfield High School, for an alumni soccer game. We were again thankful for the opportunity to share the RDFF story with friends and students, as well as raise money for our mission. Head Coach Pat O’Leary donated funds back to our organization and we are so very thankful for his and the team’s support over the last several years.
In July 2019, The Rare Disease Family Foundation attended the Cincinnati Sirens soccer game at Lakota West High School. We were able to share our story with the players and the fans in attendance, as well as raise money through selling our products and other fundraising efforts. The Sirens also donated proceeds from ticket sales to our organization. We are thankful for this partnership and the opportunity to share RDFF with the community.
